
Restaurant Captain

**Job Summary**:
The **Restaurant Captain** is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily front-of-house operations to ensure excellent guest service. The role includes managing service staff, maintaining service standards, handling guest concerns, and ensuring a smooth and memorable dining experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Greet and seat guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of waitstaff to ensure smooth operations.
- Take food and beverage orders and ensure timely service delivery.
- Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
- Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and well-maintained at all times.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for seamless order execution.
- Maintain product knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and specials.
- Train and guide new service staff on SOPs and customer service standards.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager with daily opening and closing duties.
- Monitor inventory and assist in stock requisition (linens, cutlery, condiments, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Upsell menu items and promote ongoing offers to maximize revenue.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in F&B service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant service standards and guest handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in [local language] and basic English (or as required).
- Leadership ability and team coordination skills.
- Pleasant personality, good grooming, and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
