Position Summary

As the IMG IT Product Group Architect for Ford Pro, you will play a pivotal role in architecting the strategic technology landscape for the Ford Pro product portfolio within IMG. You will provide overarching technical leadership and guidance, drive innovation, and ensure IT solutions are deeply aligned with Ford’s commercial business strategy and broader enterprise architectural principles. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to lead the design and implementation of solutions that deliver incremental business value, ensuring scalability, optimal performance, and adherence to best practices and industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

- Experience at delivering external customer solutions with a focus on APIs and/or ecommerce will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and govern end-to-end technology architecture for the IMG Ford Pro product portfolio, ensuring alignment with product vision and strategic business goals. This will include addressing complex integrations with existing globally delivered Pro/FCSD products.

Assess feature requirements against external partner capabilities, including API definitions and design, to document and assess technical gaps and determine development requirements considering performance efficiency and optimized cost. Develop solution options by analyzing and translating desired business strategy & capabilities into solution concepts and models and develop recommendations to deliver business value. Collaborate closely with product teams, providing architectural guidance and performing technical assessments of internal and external platforms and tools (covering service interoperability, infrastructure, scalability, security, availability, data handling, licensing, global footprint, etc.) to inform product decisions. Identify and manage technical debt across the product portfolio, developing strategies for its reduction and prevention. Establish and maintain strong working relationship with business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on technology solutions and providing architectural guidance in support of new business opportunities. Contribute to the development of product group roadmaps and strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and emerging technology trends and overarching architectural direction and governance. Develop and maintain architecture artifacts like, architecture working document, technical architecture diagram, etc. to depict proposed solution and support implementation.
- Work with product teams to define and document the future state and assess the cost, risk and business value of architecture alternatives.
- Drive architectural vision, principles and standards across the Ford Pro product portfolio within IMG, ensuring synergy and reusability where appropriate.
