We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer.

Job Profile:

- Ensure services (supported from Offshore) are monitored adequately and timely escalation is performed- Contribute to the incident and problem review meetings.-
- Identify incidents which need special attention or escalation-
- Manage major incidents and coordinate with Incident Management Function & Global Command Centre wherever appropriate.-
- Analyze, diagnose and fix problems-
- Maintain the CHM Data for Application and Incident Hygiene to have clear reflection of the Platform.-
- Enhance/Onboard monitoring tool to make sure less manual intervention is required on scheduler jobs.-
- Run Change Design reviews for new feature that impacts Application to fore see changes are compliant with the FSA.-
- Understand the current infrastructure on Application/Upstream/Downstream and flag the areas which can be opted for Demise or Optimization.-
- Work with tooling team to understand the complete infra and put monitoring/Alerting using Grafana/Geneos.-
- Design Batches based on requirements in control M-
- Perform Impact analysis of the change and plan testing strategy.-
- Managing Business communication on Design plan and program status-
- Contribute in CICD (Continuous Integration Continuous Development) Initiatives Requirements- Familiarity with PL/SQL concepts and client tools such as sqlplus, sqldbx, Toad etc.-
- Knowledge of DevOps concepts and change-management of database artefacts.-
- Exposure to various trouble-shooting tools like RTC/ JIRA etc.-
- Knowledge on Unix and Windows Batch scripts-
- Knowledge of Control M or any other Scheduler.-
- Knowledge on monitoring tools like Geneos/Grafana.-
- Hands On experience of Tooling like Confluence and Jira.-
- ITIL practices for Incident, Problem and Change Management.You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.
