Training & Placement Officer

**Position Title**: Head of Campus Placements / Dean of Career Services

**Location**: Vikas College Of Engineering & Technology (Autonomous), Nunna, Vijayawada

**Reports To**: Principal and Leadership Team

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and highly networked individual to join our institution as the **Head of Campus Placements** (or **Dean of Career Services**). This senior leadership role is responsible for establishing and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with reputed companies and industry professionals to create opportunities for campus placements and industrial activities for our students. The individual will serve as the key liaison between the college and the corporate world, ensuring that students are prepared for the job market and have access to the best career opportunities available.

While this role is primarily focused on external networking and industry collaboration, the individual will also provide valuable insights to the leadership team, including the principal and department Heads, regarding industry trends and student preparedness.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Strategic Networking and Partnerships**:

- Build and maintain relationships with a wide network of industry leaders, HR professionals, and corporate partners to ensure access to placement opportunities.
- Establish and manage partnerships with reputed companies and industry bodies to enhance the placement process.
- Represent the college at industry forums, career fairs, and networking events to promote the institution and attract potential employers.
- **Placement Strategy Development**:

- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to maximize the number and quality of campus placements.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align placement strategies with institutional goals.
- Share industry insights with leadership (Principal and Heads) to guide the development of student preparedness programs.
- **Campus Placement Coordination**:

- Oversee the entire campus placement process, ensuring smooth coordination between the college and recruiters.
- Act as the primary point of contact for companies visiting for recruitment and manage all associated logistics.
- Ensure timely communication with students regarding placement opportunities, timelines, and expectations.
- **Industry Collaboration and Industrial Activities**:

- Foster relationships with organizations to promote industrial activities, internships, and projects for students to gain hands-on experience.
- Facilitate collaboration between industry and academic departments to ensure students gain relevant practical exposure.
- **Leadership and Reporting**:

- Regularly report to the Principal, Management and Heads on placement trends, challenges, and student preparedness.
- Provide insights and recommendations on how to enhance student employability and industry-readiness.
- **Student Preparation and Engagement**:

- Share feedback and suggestions from industry partners to help students improve skills and meet employer expectations.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure that students are well-prepared for placement interviews and recruitment processes.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline (preferably with a background in management, human resources, or related fields).
- Proven experience in placement management, corporate relations, or a similar role, preferably in an educational institution.
- Strong network of connections within reputed companies and industries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and implement initiatives that align with institutional goals.
- Leadership experience with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,802.46 per month
