**Role purpose**:
Group Finance Operations is a vertical function across all Vodafone markets and is the operational heart that is accountable for the delivery of the financial actuals across Vodafone.

Your role is to assist the Record to Report Global Process & Community Lead set and drive the service & project agenda of the RTR process, being a full time member of the community of practice. In doing so you will need to understand and own the finance and especially RTR service environment in alignment with internal and external business customers by collaborating and parterning with the wider FinOps team, about 20 Local Markets and our Shared Services colleagues.

Futhermore you will work with your peers in the community in analysing and understanding RTR process performance, issues and improvement opportunities. As much as any process improvement has an impact on month end closures, daily operations or requires changes to our process structures etc. you will support those projects to enable and drive process improvements in relation. Your contribution will be vital in achieving our mid to long term strategy of becoming a data driven organisation in terms of decision making and process steering.

Accordingly you will support the Community lead in preparing and taking decisions related to the service aspects in relation to the RTR process. The agenda that you will be responsible for will also include analytics, definition and implementation of governance and standardization across all FinOps markets. For all of this, you will need to create an understanding of the business needs for today and tomorrow. This will go in line with the implementation of short to longer term service targets of VF Group Finance Operations which is aimed at enabling efficiencies in the RTR process landscape.

Across the FOMA organization you will grow customer satisfaction by industrialising existing, and constantly evolving, market leading service management in Finance and cross-functional. In doing so you will establish effective governance on month-, half year
- and full year end closures. Train colleagues as appropriate and ensure existing governance is used to establish an effective RTR process management, enabling market leading evolutions, including KPIs, systems and decisions based on your strong accounting and IFRS expertise.

**Key accountabilities and decision ownership**:
**Set and drive the service & accounting agenda**:

- Support the process community and drive the necessary governance of all relevant process and FinOps projects worldwide, which are significant drivers to achieve the business and performance targets.
- Govern a strong escalation management across the markets and steer the relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain a solid relationship management acting on behalf of the CoP Lead/Senior Manager where necessary.
- Drive improvement projects aiming at accounting process optimisation in the environment of Finance Operation s and partner organisations.
- Provide accounting advisory to community and local markets to ensure common accounting treatments and practices are implemented

**Ensure greater service capabilities and governance across the FinOps organisation**:

- Implement a harmonised and standardized service mananagement framework in all local markets and the FSSC.
- Ensure transparency and clarity in performance discussions
- Build a strong link to the global organization and the daily business routine.

**Identify and implement process improvements**:

- Analyse business needs, processes and develop efficient solutions.
- Translate business needs into qualitative and quantitative measures to tackle crisis.
- Manage inter market relations to fulfil MEC/YEC.

- Strong expertise in finance processes and operating models
- Solid experience in E2E operating processes, daily routines and operations
- Strong project & change management skills, proven capability to structure and deliver complex process improvements
- Proven track record of month, half year and full year closures including certifications
- Excellent communication skills; transparent and open nature
- Proven ability and experience in dealing with and influencing multiple stakeholders on senior level

**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:

- 10+ years of working experience in Finance and a minimum of 4 years in Vodafone
- University degree, in Finance/ Accounting
- Very strong accounting experience
- Very strong cooperation, coordination, communication and presentation skills
