Position - Business Development Associate

Overview

Target Publications is an academic publishing house based out of Mumbai, Maharashtra. We started our journey with publishing books for MHT-CET (engineering entrance exam in Maharashtra) back in 2006. After being a phenomenal brand for books in MHT-CET, we diversified in various sectors of education. Today, we publish more than 525 titles in total for pre-primary, school, college & competitive exams. We also have our own range of paper stationery. Our motto has always been to provide effective, quality education at a competitive cost. Our in-house team of content writers of graduates & postgraduates are constantly working on enhancing & upgrading content with an intent to strike the perfect balance between conceptual learning & mark scoring. At present, we are content partners to more than 6,000+ coaching institutes, work with hundreds of schools and present at all major book stores in Maharashtra. We are dominant players on online marketplaces like Amazon & Flipkart. We sold more than 2.5 million books in the year 2021-22 and touches lives of more than 5 lakh students across the country. With more than 200 Targetians working towards a common goals of serving the student fraternity, Target is poised to become a leader in the academic publishing space in the years to come.

Role - Business Development Associate plays a crucial role in driving the growth of a company by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Areas of Responsibility
- Target coaching classes & bookstores within the assigned territory
- Identify and pursue new business prospects to meet sales targets
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential clients through lead generation and networking
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential clients
- Develop and nurture relationships with clients through effective communication and follow-up
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations
- Provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams for continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports
- Analyze sales performance against targets and implement strategies for improvement
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, customer support, and product development, to ensure a coordinated approach to client needs
- Collaborate with team members to share insights and best practices.
- Provide exceptional post-sales support to clients.
- Address and resolve client concerns or issues promptly

Must:

- Education - Any Graduate with Professional degree / Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Experience
- 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or a related role
- Industry - Any industry or Education / Publication / other similar industries

Desirables:

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant experience in B2B sales would be a plus
- Willingness to travel as needed

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
