**Role Overview**:
The Cashier will be responsible for handling transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role involves managing cash and electronic payments, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Transaction Processing**: Accurately process sales transactions, handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and issue receipts.
- **Customer Service**: Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- **Cash Handling**: Maintain accurate cash drawers, perform cash reconciliations, and report any discrepancies.
- **Sales Support**: Assist with sales floor duties, including stocking shelves, arranging displays, and supporting sales staff as needed.
- **Record Keeping**: Ensure accurate documentation of transactions and maintain up-to-date records.
- **Compliance**: Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling, security, and customer service.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in accounting or finance is a plus.
- **Experience**: Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred.
- **Skills**: Strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- **Attributes**: Reliable, punctual, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
