Store Incharge(Manufacturing)

Position Title: Store Incharge

Location: Raipur

Reports To: Operations Manager / Inventory Manager

Job Overview:
The Store Incharge will be responsible for overseeing the Efficient management of materials, goods, and equipment within the store of the steel manufacturing unit. This includes inventory management, stock control, and ensuring that all materials are available for the manufacturing process while adhering to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
Oversee and manage the entire inventory of raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and finished products.

Maintain accurate records of stock levels and monitor inventory trends to avoid shortages or excess stock.

Ensure regular stock audits and reconciliation of physical inventory with the computerized system.

2. Procurement & Material Handling:
Receive and inspect incoming materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and the specifications outlined in the purchase orders.

Supervise the proper storage of materials to prevent damage, corrosion, or deterioration.

Coordinate with the procurement team for timely ordering of materials required for manufacturing operations.

3. Stock Control & Distribution:
Maintain an organized store layout for easy access and identification of materials.

Issue materials as per the requirements of various departments (production, maintenance, etc.).

Ensure proper documentation for all material movements including receipts, issues, returns, and transfers.

4. Team Supervision:
Supervise and train storekeepers and assistants to maintain an efficient, productive work environment.

Ensure that staff adhere to safety protocols and company policies.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training on inventory control and store management.

5. Safety & Compliance:
Ensure that all materials are stored and handled safely, complying with health and safety regulations.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area.

Ensure that hazardous materials are handled according to company standards and regulatory requirements

6. Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain proper documentation for all inventory transactions.

Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory status, usage, and order requirements to management.

Provide regular updates on stock levels, material shortages, and any discrepancies identified

7. Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve any discrepancies related to inventory, material shortages, or damaged goods.

Act as a liaison between the production, procurement, and quality control teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant certifications in inventory management or materials management are a plus.

**Experience**:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in store or inventory management, preferably in a steel manufacturing or industrial setting.

Experience in handling large inventories and working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred.

Skills & Abilities:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and inventory management software.

Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in industrial environments.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.

Work Environment:
The Store Incharge will work in a manufacturing facility with exposure to industrial equipment and materials. Safety equipment (e.g., gloves, helmets, etc.) must be worn at all times when on the shop floor.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
