**Overview**:

- We are looking for a creative game designer to join our team and deliver exciting new games on our ZionVerse platform. As a game designer, you would be expected to shape the game ideas, mechanics and the game world to give players a great gaming experience. This is an opportunity to leave the shore to travel and explore the great open sea of Game Design and bring your imagination to life.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conceptualize, implement, and maintain gameplay systems that achieve a fulfilling flow state, addictive game loops, and a risk/reward balance.
- Developing the storyline, character back-stories, and dialogue, through scripts and storyboards, including any relevant research.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation (such as design outlines, diagrams, and visual mockups) that details the triggers, interactions, and subsequent events of specific features or aspects of gameplay.
- Work closely with User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Designers to optimize the player interface.
- Work collaboratively with Leads, Designers, Developers, and cross-functional teams to facilitate well-planned and executed features.
- Model, simulate, and tune the game's economy with multiple currencies, progression systems, sinks and faucets.
- Constantly learn about evolving game dynamics, emerging player behaviour and trends, and champion these insights to improve the effectiveness of design efforts
- Build creatively challenging and interesting level designs for a top-notched gaming experience.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year of experience in Game Design
- An ability to break things down into systems
- An understanding of marketing and market research to understand what your target audience wants and how to sell it to them
- Possess a deep and comprehensive knowledge of the games development pipeline across different devices.
- A thorough understanding of game design, learning curve, directing the player, difficulty levels, balancing, pacing, motivation, reward cycle and other core concepts.
- Be able to propose creative solutions to complex level design problems.
- Experience with any game engine such as Unity or Unreal.
- Must be highly creative and have storytelling ability.
- Outstanding self-motivation and initiative in a highly dynamic environment.
- Must be Passionate about video games.
- Superb written & verbal communication skills.
