The Legal Officer - Real Estate is responsible for providing legal support and advice on matters related to property transactions, real estate development, leasing, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring legal compliance in all real estate transactions, and managing disputes related to property.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Contract Drafting and Review**:

- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, and development agreements.
- Ensure that all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.
- **Due Diligence**:

- Conduct legal due diligence for property acquisitions, including title searches, zoning analysis, and environmental assessments.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with real estate transactions.
- **Legal Advisory**:

- Provide legal advice on property law, land use, zoning regulations, and other relevant legal matters.
- Advise on the legal implications of property management, including tenant issues, lease disputes, and eviction processes.
- **Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws governing real estate transactions and property development.
- Monitor changes in real estate laws and regulations and update company policies accordingly.
- **Dispute Resolution**:

- Manage and resolve legal disputes related to real estate, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.
- **Documentation and Record Keeping**:

- Maintain and organize all legal documents related to real estate transactions, ensuring they are accessible and up to date.
- Prepare and file all necessary legal documentation with relevant authorities.
- **Liaison and Coordination**:

- Work closely with other departments, including finance, operations, and project management, to ensure smooth execution of real estate transactions.
- Liaise with government authorities, real estate agents, and external legal advisors.

Experience - 3+ years
