We are looking for Glass Tempering Machine Operator.

Job Overview:
The Glass Tempering Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the tempering machines used in the heat treatment process of glass. This role involves ensuring that glass sheets or products are tempered to meet safety, quality, and production standards. The operator will be expected to monitor machine settings, perform regular maintenance, and ensure the safe operation of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Operation:

- Operate glass tempering machines according to company standards and customer specifications.
- Set machine parameters such as temperature, speed, and cooling rates to ensure optimal tempering conditions.
- Monitor the heating and cooling processes to ensure that glass is tempered correctly.

2. Quality Control:

- Inspect tempered glass for defects such as cracks, distortion, or improper tempering.
- Verify that the glass meets dimensional, strength, and safety standards.
- Conduct periodic tests to check the glass's integrity, including visual inspections and stress testing.

3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

- Perform routine maintenance on tempering machine, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions or issues, making adjustments or notifying maintenance personnel when required.
- Ensure the machine is properly calibrated to ensure consistent quality and production efficiency.

4. Safety and Compliance:

- Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the safety of the around the machine.
- Monitor glass handling processes to prevent damage or injury.
- Comply with environmental and regulatory standards concerning material handling and waste disposal.

5. Production Monitoring:

- Maintain a consistent production output, adhering to scheduled timelines.
- Report any delays, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues to the production supervisor.
- Track production metrics and ensure that the machine runs at optimal efficiency.

6.Documentation:

- Keep accurate records of machine settings, batch numbers, production runs, and quality checks.
- Provide reports on machine performance, production output, and any quality concerns.

7. Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and maintenance staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiative to enhance the tempering process.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Diploma electrician
- Previous experience operating glass tempering machine or in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Knowledge of the glass tempering process, including heat treatment and cooling techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Basic mechanical and technical skills for machine maintenance and adjustments.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for long periods and handle glass sheets.
- Lift or move heavy glass products safely

Working Conditions:

- Full-time position.
- Shift work, including weekends or overtime, may be required depending on production schedules.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to high temperatures, heavy machinery, and industrial noise.
