**Key Responsibilities**
- **Production Planning**:

- Develop and maintain detailed production plans based on customer demand, sales forecasts, and resource availability.
- Schedule production runs, ensuring that raw materials and resources are available to meet production requirements.
- Coordinate the production schedule with various departments (e.g., procurement, manufacturing, quality control) to ensure smooth operations.
- Forecast production capacity and ensure resources (e.g., labor, materials, equipment) are efficiently utilized.
- **Material Planning and Inventory Control**:

- Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock of raw materials and finished goods.
- Work closely with the procurement team to ensure materials are ordered in a timely manner and avoid production delays.
- Maintain accurate records of materials and inventory movements.
- Optimize inventory turnover while minimizing excess stock or stockouts.
- **Production Control**:

- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with schedules and quality standards.
- Track progress against production plans and make adjustments to schedules as needed based on any deviations.
- Identify bottlenecks in production and recommend or implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment downtime is minimized and production can proceed as planned.
- **Capacity Planning**:

- Assess production capacity and identify any constraints or areas for improvement.
- Analyze the impact of any changes in demand and adjust capacity planning accordingly.
- Recommend equipment upgrades or staffing changes to improve production efficiency.
- **Scheduling**:

- Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly production schedules and share them with the relevant departments.
- Ensure that the production schedule aligns with customer orders, prioritizing high-demand products or urgent orders.
- Coordinate the workforce to ensure the right number of staff is available for each shift based on production requirements.
- **Quality Control and Compliance**:

- Collaborate with the quality control department to ensure that production meets all quality standards.
- Ensure that production processes follow all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Address any quality or safety issues that may arise during production.
- **Reporting and Documentation**:

- Prepare reports on production performance, including output, quality, and adherence to schedules.
- Maintain records of production progress, inventory levels, and resource utilization.
- Provide regular status updates to senior management on production issues, delivery timelines, and capacity.
- **Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution**:

- Quickly address any production delays, supply chain disruptions, or quality issues that could affect timelines or customer satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot problems with machinery, labor shortages, or other production-related challenges.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Recommend and implement best practices and lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing production capacity, reducing waste, and improving overall productivity.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- **Experience: Fresher to** 2-3 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle).
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and production scheduling techniques.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- **Analytical Skills**: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions regarding production processes.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments and resolve issues effectively.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
