**About the role**

Bekaert Industries, a renowned steel transformation manufacturer, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced AEM UI Technical Leader / Architect to join its Advanced Digital Services Team. This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end development of user interface solutions within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), ensuring best-in-class digital experiences for Bekaert’s global platforms.

**Your Impact**- Lead Adobe Experience Manager, including User Interface, tracks for different projects by aligning high level design, low level design, code reviews, code quality & standards with various delivery teams.
- Review the requirements, principles and models and guide technology decisions for the Bekaert commercial organization across different business units.
- Drive customer experience design, prioritization, and management of product tracks. Engages business stakeholders to identify technology-enabled innovation opportunities.
- Facilitate business case grooming sessions, resolve blockers, and ensure alignment across teams.
- Lead epics, user story and task grooming sessions, assess dependencies, and accurately estimate efforts.
- Define and maintain the front-end architecture within AEM, ensuring adherence to best practices in design, performance, scalability and maintainability.
- Design, build, and maintain reusable, testable, and efficient UI components using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 (SASS, Tailwind), React.JS, Vue.JS, micro frontends, and modern frameworks such as Next.js.
- Build and integrate AEM components, templates, content fragments, and client libraries.
- Ensure seamless integration between AEM frontend and backend services, including OSGi, Sling Models, Servlets, and APIs.
- Works closely with product managers, product owners and Architect peers (e.g., enterprise, business, information, security) to enable digital solutions / products agility, scalability, and resilience throughout product lifecycle as per industry best practices.
- Manage feature demos, customer workshops, and platform training sessions for the client content team.
- Researched and recommended new trends, tools, and technologies to improve UI/UX and development workflows.
- Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies, software development standards, and quality assurance practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, designers, DevOps, and QA to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Enforce high-quality code standards across the development team by reviewing code pull requests.
- Coach and mentor developers, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, guiding critical project phases.

**About You**

**Essential skills & competencies**- Master’s or Bachelor of Engineering or any other equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, overseeing and guiding teams in a collaborative environment.

**AEM Expertise**:
- Strong knowledge of AEM (version 6.5 and above), including Sling models, Servlets, workflows, and multisite management.
- Proficiency in creating and customising components, templates, and HTL/Sightly programming.
- Understanding of OSGi frameworks, JCR standards, and Sling framework.
- Experience with AEM Dispatcher configurations and optimisation.
- Familiarity with Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Audience Manager, and Adobe Commerce Integration Framework.
- Exposure to AEM as a Cloud Service and headless CMS implementations.

**Frontend / User Interface Expertise**:
- Deep expertise in HTML5, CSS3 (SASS, Tailwind CSS), and JavaScript ES6+.
