Key Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases
- Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures
- Optimize SQL queries and database structures for performance and scalability
- Ensure database security by implementing access controls and encryption
- Automate routine database tasks using scripts and tools
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions
- Collaborate with developers to design efficient database schemas and queries
- Maintain documentation related to database configurations, policies, and procedures

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as an SQL Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019 or later)
- Proficient in T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and indexing
- Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
- Familiarity with tools such as SSMS, SQL Profiler, and monitoring tools
- Understanding of data security, GDPR, and compliance best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar certification
- Experience with cloud-based SQL databases (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS)
- Knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation
- Experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
