**Job Title**: Database Administrator (DBA) — Remote

**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Install, configure, and maintain **SQL and NoSQL databases** (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Create and manage **database backups, restores, and replication** strategies.
- Ensure **data integrity, security, and compliance** with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to design efficient **database schemas** and queries.
- Implement and maintain **user roles, access controls, and permissions**.
- Perform regular **health checks**, maintenance tasks, and version upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve **database-related issues** in a timely manner.
- Create detailed documentation for database architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Support CI/CD integration and data migration tasks when required.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, IT, or a related field**.
- 1-2 years of experience in **database administration or management**.
- Strong knowledge of **MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or MongoDB**.
- Familiarity with **database design, normalization, and indexing strategies**.
- Experience with **backup, restore, and disaster recovery** practices.
- Understanding of **SQL performance tuning and query optimization**.
- Exposure to **AWS RDS / Azure SQL / GCP Cloud SQL** (preferred).
- Basic understanding of **Linux server environments** and shell scripting.
- Good communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork.

**Nice-to-Have Skills**
- Experience with **monitoring tools** like pgAdmin, Prometheus, or Datadog.
- Knowledge of **containerization** (Docker) and **CI/CD pipelines**.
- Familiarity with **NoSQL databases** (Redis, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
- Understanding of **data replication and clustering mechanisms**.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹346,460.07 - ₹500,000.04 per year
