**Job Summary**:The Student Counselor supports the academic, emotional, and social development of students by providing guidance, counseling, and intervention. They collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create a positive and supportive school environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one and group counseling to students on academic, emotional, social, and behavioral issues.
- Identify students' needs through observations, assessments, and communication with teachers and parents.
- Develop and implement programs that support student wellness, including stress management, bullying prevention, and career guidance.
- Support students during personal crises, including family issues, trauma, and mental health concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions while respecting confidentiality.
- Collaborate with school staff to create intervention plans and strategies for at-risk students.
- Conduct workshops and sessions for parents on topics like adolescent development, peer pressure, and exam stress.
- Help students develop goal-setting, time management, and decision-making skills.Refer students and families to external mental health professionals or services when needed.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting.
- Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with child development, behavior management, and crisis intervention.
