Position Overview:
A student counselor is responsible for providing guidance and support to students, helping them overcome personal and academic challenges, and ensuring their overall well-being. They work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to address students' emotional, social, and educational needs. The key objective is to empower students and enhance their academic performance and personal development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide counseling support: Offer individual and group counseling sessions to students to address emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns.

Conduct assessments:
Evaluate students' interests, aptitudes, and skills to assist them in making informed decisions regarding their academic and career paths.

Develop personalized plans: Create, implement, and review personalized student success plans (SSPs) to help students set goals and create strategies for achieving a successful academic journey.

Promote positive mental health: Encourage students to maintain good mental health and emotional well-being by providing resources, identifying potential issues, and offering support and strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and other mental health concerns.

Collaborate with stakeholders: Liaise with teachers, parents, and administrators to discuss students' progress, support needs, and collaboratively develop strategies to address challenges.Provide crisis intervention: Offer immediate counseling and support to students during emergencies, traumatic events, or crisis situations within the campus community.

Conduct workshops and seminars: Organize and conduct workshops on topics such as study skills, time management, stress management, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, and career planning.

Facilitate support groups: Create and moderate support groups to promote peer interaction and help students develop skills such as communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

Maintain confidential records: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of counseling sessions, assessments, interventions, and referrals, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.

Stay updated: Continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills through attending workshops, conferences, and relevant training to stay updated with current counseling techniques, educational developments, and mental health practices.Qualifications:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- total work: 1 year (preferred)
- Counselling: 1 year (preferred)
