These programs are funded by USAID, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the David & Lucile Packard Foundation, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and other anonymous donors.
Jhpiego is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Communications Officer based in New Delhi for its USAID-funded RISE project to lead and coordinate the project’s communications efforts. The Communications Officer will play a pivotal role in designing and executing comprehensive communication strategies to raise awareness, promote project initiatives, and enhance stakeholder engagement for the Health Security and AMR project. This role requires a creative and strategic approach to effectively communicate complex health and scientific concepts to diverse audiences. The position will report to the Deputy Chief of Party (CoP).
**Responsibilities**:
- **Strategic Communication Strategy**:
- Formulate and implement communication strategies that seamlessly align with project objectives, effectively conveying their significance.
- Segment target audiences and design tailored messaging for cohesive dissemination through various channels.
- ** Compelling Content Development**:
- Craft compelling narratives that adeptly translate intricate health and scientific concepts into engaging, accessible content.
- Generate persuasive content spanning articles, press releases, captivating visual materials, and multimedia presentations.
- ** Digital Engagement and Social Media Mastery**:
- Curate and oversee dynamic content across digital platforms, orchestrating a dynamic and captivating online presence.
- Proactively identify and leverage trending topics to enhance engagement and amplify program impact.
- ** Media Relationship Management**:
- Foster robust relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure extensive coverage of project events, initiatives, and success stories.
- Expertly craft media materials, including press releases, comprehensive media kits, and persuasive pitches.
- ** Strategic Communication Strategy**:

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field is preferred. A bachelor's degree with significant experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of exceptional experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, ideally within the public health or development domain.
- Profound ability to weave intricate stories from complex data, rendering technical information into resonant narratives.
- Expertise in utilizing digital communication tools, social media platforms, and content creation software.
- Adeptness in crafting nuanced written and verbal communication, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional clarity.
