**DBA Duties and Responsibilities**
- Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations
- Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
- Write and deploy SQL patches
- Process work accurately and in a timely manner
- Collate, prepare and present statistical information for internal and external use
- Monitoring database access and configuring access control systems
- Ensuring data integrity and security
- Analyzing database performance and carrying out performance tuning and maintenance
- Identifying and resolving any system issues
- Pay attention to detail at all times
- Developing, managing and testing backup and data recovery plans
- Checking that databases are compliant with rules on privacy and the protection of personal data
- Provide guidance and assistance to Developers on database architecture, schema design, code review, SQL query tuning

**DBA Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related information technology field
- 5 years of experience with database languages categories DDL, DML, DCL & TCL with specific languages SQL, XQuery, OQL SQL/XML, GraphQL, LINQ
- Easily design and implement a business process into functional and efficient code
- Implement and manage company data management practices and policies
- 5 years of experience in administering, managing and tuning databases
- 5 years of experience with Postgres SQL, SQL Server or MySQL
- Good understanding of data and schema standards and concepts
- Good understand database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance
- Expertise in SQL
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
