As a Lab Assistant, you will be an integral part of our quality assurance team, contributing to the testing and analysis of fastener products to ensure they meet stringent quality standards. This entry-level position is perfect for recent graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry who are enthusiastic about launching their career in the fastener industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Sample Preparation: Assist in the preparation of samples for testing, including fastener materials and finished products. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure accuracy and consistency in sample preparation.
- Chemical Analysis: Conduct various chemical analyses on fastener samples using analytical instruments such as spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and titrators. Perform qualitative and quantitative tests to assess the composition, purity, and properties of materials.
- Physical Testing: Assist in the performance of physical tests on fastener products, including tensile strength, hardness, corrosion resistance, and dimensional accuracy. Record test results accurately and meticulously document any deviations from quality standards.
- Data Management: Maintain detailed records of test data, observations, and experimental procedures. Organize and manage data in electronic databases or laboratory notebooks for easy retrieval and analysis.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Report any equipment malfunctions or abnormalities to senior laboratory staff for prompt resolution.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols in the laboratory environment. Follow proper handling and disposal procedures for hazardous chemicals and waste materials to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the quality assurance team and cross-functional departments to share information, address issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
- Strong theoretical knowledge of chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
- Hands-on experience with analytical instruments and laboratory equipment is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and analysis.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
