**A. Position Summary**
- This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the rubber industry and who has a keen interest in materials testing, quality control, and lab operations.
- The position is based at Nashik.

**B. Key Responsibilities**:
**Sample Preparation & Testing**:

- Collect and prepare samples of raw rubber materials, chemicals, and finished products for analysis.
- Conduct routine tests to measure physical and chemical properties such as tensile strength, elasticity, hardness, abrasion resistance, and aging.
- Perform mixing of rubber compounds in the lab and assist in the preparation of test specimens.

**Quality Control**:

- Assist in quality control procedures by conducting regular tests on incoming raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet industry standards and company specifications.
- Document and report test results to the Lab Supervisor and maintain a log of quality control data.

**Equipment Operation & Maintenance**:

- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment such as tensile testers, viscometers, hardness testers, and other analytical tools.
- Ensure the equipment is functioning properly, and troubleshoot minor issues when necessary.

**Data Recording & Reporting**:

- Record experimental and test data accurately in lab notebooks, spreadsheets, or company databases.
- Assist in generating technical reports summarizing lab activities, test results, and quality control data.
- Communicate findings to team members and senior staff.

**Health & Safety**:

- Follow all laboratory safety protocols and procedures, especially when handling chemicals or hazardous materials.
- Keep the lab area clean, organized, and compliant with industry health and safety regulations.

**Assistance in Research & Development (Optional)**:

- Assist R&D teams in experimenting with new rubber formulations, materials, and additives to improve product performance.
- Provide support in product development, optimization, and improvement activities.

**Inventory Management**:

- Monitor laboratory supplies, chemicals, and raw materials. Report shortages and reorder supplies as needed.
- Maintain proper labelling and storage of chemicals and rubber materials.

**C. Other Skills**
- Degree in B.Sc./Chemistry/ Physics/ Material Science/ Polymer Science
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a lab environment
- Basic knowledge of rubber testing methods and standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
- Proficiency in data analysis and report generation.
- Sound knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols.
