**Job Title**: Accounts Assistant

**Position Summary**:
The Accounts Assistant will support the Accounts Executive and Manager in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant financial regulations. The role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment specific to the recycling industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Daily Accounting Operations**:

- Assist in maintaining the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments for suppliers and customers, ensuring timely clearance of dues.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and depreciation of assets related to the recycling unit.
- **Financial Documentation & Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring documentation is filed correctly for audit and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports under the guidance of the Accounts Executive and Manager.
- Support the preparation of tax returns (GST, TDS) and liaise with external auditors during audits.
- Collaborate in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with statutory requirements and applicable accounting standards.
- **Inventory and Asset Management**:

- Assist in managing and maintaining accurate records of raw material inventory, finished goods, and equipment in collaboration with the stores department.
- Track and record transactions related to scrap and recycled materials, ensuring proper valuation of stock for accounting purposes.
- Assist in asset management, including maintaining depreciation schedules for machinery and equipment used in the recycling process.
- **Compliance & Regulatory Reporting**:

- Ensure compliance with relevant local, state, and national financial regulations, particularly relating to environmental and recycling business practices.
- Support the implementation of GST, TDS, and other tax regulations, keeping updated with changes and ensuring timely filing of returns.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for regulatory bodies, including reports to the Pollution Control Board, if required.
- **Internal Controls and Process Improvement**:

- Assist in establishing and maintaining internal financial controls to prevent fraud and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting workflow, especially in managing the specific financial challenges of the recycling industry.
- Provide support in implementing automated accounting systems where possible, including ERP software, for better financial tracking.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with the procurement, production, and sales departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions related to raw material acquisition, tyre shredding, and sale of recycled materials.
- Respond to inquiries from suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders about payments, receivables, or financial documentation.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing insights from the accounting perspective to drive business decisions.

**Key Skills & Competencies**:

- Proficient in accounting software (Tally, SAP, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
- Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and other taxation laws.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data accurately.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or recycling industries is a plus.

**Educational Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification in accounting software is advantageous.

**Experience**:

- 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in manufacturing or recycling sectors.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Higher Secondary(12th Pass) (preferred)
