**Job Purpose**

To provide skilled perioperative nursing care during neurosurgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, adherence to aseptic techniques, and support to the surgical team. The Neuro OT Staff Nurse plays a critical role in pre-operative preparation, intraoperative assistance, and post-operative patient care within a highly specialized surgical environment.

**Key Responsibilities Pre-Operative Phase**:

- Prepare the neuro OT with all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
- Verify patient identity, surgical site, and consent documents.
- Ensure the availability and functioning of neuro-specific equipment (e.g., microscopes, suction units, bipolar cautery).

**Intraoperative Phase**:

- Scrub and assist in surgical procedures or circulate as required.
- Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Anticipate the needs of the neurosurgeon and provide instruments efficiently.
- Manage surgical counts (instruments, sponges, needles) and document accordingly.
- Coordinate with the anesthetic team and monitor patient vitals during surgery.

**Post-Operative Phase**:

- Assist in transferring the patient to the recovery room or ICU.
- Document the procedure, patient condition, and any intraoperative events.
- Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization.
- Report any equipment malfunction or incidents to OT In-Charge.

**Required Qualifications**
- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registered Nurse with State Nursing Council.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of OT experience, preferably with exposure to neurosurgical procedures.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
