The Staff Nurse in the ICU provides direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting, ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice and patient safety. They are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for critically ill patients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Patient Care**:

- Provide high-quality, compassionate, and individualized care to critically ill patients.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs (e.g., heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels) and report any changes or abnormalities.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the physician.
- Insert and manage intravenous lines, urinary catheters, and other medical devices.
- Provide continuous monitoring of patients for signs of deterioration.
- **Assessment & Monitoring**:

- Perform thorough assessments of patients’ physical and emotional health.
- Record and report patient conditions, including any changes in mental status, respiratory function, and heart rate.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to update care plans.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the ICU team, including doctors, respiratory therapists, and support staff.
- Participate in patient care planning and multidisciplinary rounds.
- Communicate effectively with families to explain care plans and updates on patient condition.
- **Patient Safety**:

- Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and all safety protocols are followed.
- Assist in maintaining infection control practices to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a sterile environment.
- Follow all emergency and safety procedures in case of critical situations.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Document all assessments, interventions, patient responses, and changes in care.
- **Education & Training**:

- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices and new technologies in ICU care.
- Provide support and guidance to junior nursing staff and students.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
