**JOB DESCRIPTION** General Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Monitor production activities/processes to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up and communication of problems to internal and external clients, technical resources, and executives.
- Ensures information controls, back-up and recovery strategies are in place across all environments.
- Implement continuous process improvement, including but not limited to policy, procedures, and production monitoring.
- Develop and maintain relationships with technical staff, end users and clients.
- Carefully evaluate alternative risks and solutions before taking action to provide timely resolution.
- Demonstrate creativity, innovation and high performance.
- Design, code, test and deliver software to automate manual operational work (Kafka, Java etc)
- Engage with development teams throughout the life cycle to help develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring mínimal refactoring or changes.
- Design and implement self-healing and resiliency patterns.
- Design and implement best in class monitoring frameworks to accomplish end-to-end flow monitoring and noiseless alerting (Dynatrace, Splunk etc)
- Design and implement automated software and product upgrades, change management and release management solutions.
- Expert practitioner in one or more technology domains, may be a cross-domain expert, able to solve complex and mission critical problems within a business or across the firm
- Experience working in cloud (AWS)
- Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills
- Participates in triaging, examining, diagnosing, and resolving incidents and work with others to solve problems at their root.

**Required Experience**:

- Hands-on experience on AWS, Oracle SQL
- Expert in UNIX shell, Perl, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Knowledge of Dynatrace, Splunk and Geneos is added advantage

Experience supporting mission-critical in financial services industry, particularly in a merchant servicing environment, is a big plus.
