**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Clinic Assistant Intern to join our team at 24/7 DCT. This internship opportunity offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with the potential for a full-time position upon successful completion of the internship. As a Clinic Assistant Intern, you will have the opportunity to support our healthcare professionals, gain valuable skills, and contribute to our mission of improving healthcare delivery.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Patient Support**: Assist patients with scheduling appointments, accessing telehealth services, and navigating our online platforms. Provide guidance and support to patients with inquiries and concerns.
- **Administrative Tasks**: Perform various administrative tasks to support clinic operations, including data entry, filing, organizing patient records, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
- **Telehealth Assistance**: Facilitate telehealth consultations by assisting healthcare providers with setting up virtual appointments, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring a smooth patient experience.
- **Documentation and Record-Keeping**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Document patient information, appointments, and interactions in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- **Patient Education**: Educate patients about our telehealth services, resources, and programs. Provide information on preventive care, health screenings, and wellness initiatives to promote patient engagement and empowerment.
- **Quality Assurance**: Assist in monitoring the quality and efficiency of clinic operations. Identify areas for improvement and contribute ideas for enhancing patient satisfaction and overall clinic performance.
- **Professional Development**: Participate in training sessions, workshops, and educational opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills in healthcare administration, telehealth technology, and patient care.
**Requirements**:
- Recently graduated in Healthcare Administration, Medical Assisting, Nursing, or related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a remote environment and using telehealth platforms.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations is preferred but not required.
