Server Administrator

Mumbai

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage Active Directory and Group Policy Objects, including configuration and deployment.
- Administer Domain Controllers within Active Directory.
- Plan and execute upgrades at the Active Directory Domain level.
- Handle incidents, requests, and problem management related to Active Directory.
- Resolve Active Directory issues such as DNS zone problems and review Sites/Subnets.
- Ensure Vulnerability Management across the environment.
- Take over management of out-of-warranty servers requiring site involvement to engage OEM or third-party hardware support teams.
- Provide advanced server support for issues beyond the capabilities of the L2 team.
- Offer client support by recommending configuration improvements to the environment.

**Requirements**:

- Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server Administration: installation, configuration, and management.
- Proficiency in Windows Active Directory concepts, configuration, and management.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory, including Forests, Domains, AD Partitions, FSMO Roles, Sites, Subnets, Replications, AD Backup/Restore, Group Policies, Security, and domain consolidation.
- Expertise in DMZ re-architecture.
- Deployment and troubleshooting experience with Windows Server OS.
- Experience in migrating/upgrading Windows environments across versions.
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams and vendors to resolve issues or implement solutions.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and PowerShell scripting.
- Understanding of ITIL framework and practices.
- Familiarity with Windows patching and hardening policies.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 support environment.
- Strong team player with analytical skills to propose service improvement plans based on Problem records.
