- Core responsibilities

- Conduct maintenance and repairs: Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and calibration checks on equipment to keep it in good working order.
- Troubleshoot issues: Identify and resolve problems that arise during operations to maintain production efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensure safety and compliance: Adhere to all safety and environmental rules and regulations, and ensure the plant's operations are in compliance.
- Manage operations: Oversee daily plant operations, which can include loading and unloading materials, managing inventory, and interpreting procedures.
- Operate heavy machinery: In certain industries, this involves operating heavy equipment like excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and trenchers to move materials and perform site work.
- Common skills and qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills Mechanical and technical aptitude Good computer proficiency for operating automated systems Spatial awareness (especially for roles involving heavy machinery) Ability to work with others and follow instructions
