Job Description: Production Planning and Control (PPC) - Manufacturing Copper Metals Line

Position Title: Production Planning and Control (PPC) Manager

Department: Manufacturing

Reports To: Factory Manager / Director

Location: Daman

Job Overview:
The PPC Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the production planning, scheduling, and

control processes within the copper metal manufacturing line. This role ensures that production

schedules are met in a timely manner, resources are efficiently utilized, and customer requirements

are fulfilled. The PPC Specialist will work closely with various departments, including production,

inventory, procurement, and quality assurance, to optimize manufacturing processes and support

business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Scheduling:

- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders,

inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure adherence to planned production

timelines.
- Forecast future production needs and adjust plans to accommodate changes in

demand or production capacity.
- Ensure effective use of raw materials, labour, and equipment to meet production

goals.

2. Inventory Management:

- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished

goods.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure that materials are available as needed

without causing excess inventory.
- Perform regular cycle counts and coordinate with warehouse teams to reconcile

discrepancies.

3. Production Process Monitoring:

- Track production progress to ensure that targets and deadlines are met.
- Identify and address bottlenecks or issues in the production line that may affect

delivery schedules.
- Provide regular production status updates to management and stakeholders.

4. Quality Control Coordination:

- Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet all

specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in identifying areas for process improvement to enhance product quality and

reduce defects.
- Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the

production line.

5. Collaboration & Communication:

- Liaise with cross-functional teams (engineering, logistics, procurement, and sales) to

ensure smooth production flow and effective resolution of issues.
- Provide updates and reports on production status, delivery timelines, and any

production-related concerns.

6. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and improvements in

efficiency.
- Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives to streamline

operations.

7. Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:

- Respond promptly to production disruptions, including equipment failures, material

shortages, or workforce issues.
- Develop contingency plans and take proactive measures to minimize production

delays.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Educational Background:

- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain

Management, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Experience:

- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production planning, preferably in the

manufacturing of metals, copper, or other related industries.
- Proven experience in scheduling, inventory management, and production control.
- Experience in a lean manufacturing environment or with production control software

is a plus.
- Technical Skills:

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in the copper metals

industry.
- Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or specialized PPC

systems).
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and MS Office (Excel,

PowerPoint, Word).
- Soft Skills:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team

members, management, and other departments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

Work Environment:

- Manufacturing facility environment with occasional office work.
- Must be comfortable working with machinery, production teams, and maintaining safety

protocols.

- Experience with copper or metal production processes is highly advantageous.

Pay: ₹32,463.48 - ₹45,222.39 per month
