**Job Title**: Chef de Partie
**Location**: Bangalore/Hyderabad
**Reports To**: Sous Chef

**Job Overview**:
The Chef de Partie (CDP) is responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, such as grill, sauce, pastry, or fish. The CDP ensures that the section operates efficiently and that food is prepared and presented to high standards. This role involves coordinating with other kitchen staff, maintaining hygiene standards, and managing inventory for the section. The Chef de Partie plays a critical role in supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in maintaining kitchen operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation & Cooking**:

- Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to the required quality standards.
- Ensure the efficient and timely preparation of food during service periods.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the kitchen leadership.
- **Kitchen Operations**:

- Oversee and manage the specific section of the kitchen assigned to you (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry).
- Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Ensure that mise en place is completed on time and to the highest standards.
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen at all times.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and consistency, according to the restaurant’s standards.
- Conduct regular checks on food quality and presentation to maintain high standards.
- Adhere to portion sizes and avoid food wastage.
- **Inventory & Supplies**:

- Monitor inventory and stock levels in your section and communicate shortages or needs to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
- Ensure that ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and rotated to maintain freshness.
- **Health & Safety**:

- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in accordance with the kitchen’s policies and local regulations.
- Ensure the correct handling, storage, and preparation of food at all times.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper use of kitchen equipment and tools.
- **Training & Development**:

- Assist with the training of junior kitchen staff, ensuring they are familiar with the processes and techniques required in your section.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to ensure high standards are maintained.

**Qualifications & Education**:

- **Education**:

- A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Relevant vocational training or an apprenticeship in culinary arts is also acceptable.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience working in a professional kitchen, with at least 1-2 years in a similar role.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen is preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Attention to detail in both preparation and presentation of dishes.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
