**Tandoor Chef (CDP) - Job DescriptionPosition Summary**

The Tandoor Chef (CDP) is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes, especially those requiring tandoor techniques. This role involves managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring food quality, maintaining hygiene standards, and mentoring junior staff.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian and Tandoori dishes to high standards.
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring optimal temperature and safety.
- Marinate meats and vegetables using traditional Indian spices and techniques.
- Manage a section of the kitchen and coordinate with the Sous Chef.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed.
- Assist in menu planning and development of new tandoor-based dishes.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies for the tandoor section.
- Train and guide junior chefs and kitchen helpers in tandoor cooking.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Proven experience as a CDP or similar role in an Indian kitchen.
- Expertise in tandoor cooking and Indian culinary techniques.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent certification.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Team leadership and collaboration skills.

**Work Environment**
- Fast-paced hospitality or restaurant setting.
- Requires standing for long hours and working near high heat.
- May involve split shifts, weekends, and holiday work.

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
