Key responsibilities of a Finishing Incharge: Production Management: Plan and manage the daily finishing operations, ensuring timely completion of production targets. Monitor workflow and resource allocation within the finishing section. Coordinate with other departments like stitching and quality control to ensure smooth production flow. Quality Control: Conduct thorough final inspections of finished garments to identify and address any defects. Ensure adherence to established quality standards and customer specifications. Monitor and address any quality issues arising during the finishing process. Team Management: Supervise and train finishing team members on proper techniques and procedures. Assign tasks and monitor performance of the finishing crew. Address any employee concerns related to the finishing process. Machine Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain finishing machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance. Coordinate with maintenance personnel for any necessary repairs or adjustments Packaging and Labeling: Ensure garments are properly folded, labeled, and packed according to customer requirements. Oversee the preparation of shipping documents and labels. Reporting and Analysis: Generate daily/weekly production reports detailing finishing activities, including quality metrics and any production issues. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize efficiency and reduce waste. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in a garment finishing department, preferably in a supervisory role. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of different garment finishing techniques like pressing, folding, and packaging.
