**Introduction**:
**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Design and build databases, schemas, stored procedures, and other database objects.
- Set up routine database backup procedures and disaster recovery protocols.
- Perform database recoveries and ensure data integrity.
- Assist developers and end-users with database usage, query development, and tuning.
- Develop operating system scripts to automate backups, data transfers, and monitoring.
- Design and implement database security schemas.
- Work at the highest level of all phases of database administration.
- Coordinate with clients to understand business requirements, design architecture, and resolve issues.
- Collaborate closely with technical specialists and team members to achieve project goals.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Oracle database implementations, upgrades, conversions, and consolidation projects.
- Strong experience with Oracle databases ranging from 12c through 19c on UNIX/Linux and Windows platforms.
- Experience administering Oracle databases on Exadata.
- Proficiency in Oracle RMAN, Oracle RAC, and Oracle ASM.
- Experience with administering Oracle databases on PaaS environments.
- Experience with Exadata Cloud at Customer is a plus.
- Strong command of database security, data recovery, performance monitoring, and tuning.
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL is highly desirable.
- Excellent technical design skills across database, infrastructure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Ability to develop technical architecture solutions to meet client requirements.
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.

**Support and Travel Requirements**:

- Support Hours: Afterhours support for the Americas
- Travel: Minimal, up to 10% as needed
