**Job Summary**: The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of the organization s databases. They will work closely with IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to optimize database functionality, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.

**Responsibilities**:
Install, configure, and maintain database software and related technologies.

Monitor database performance and proactively optimize queries, indexes, and configurations for optimal efficiency.

Ensure data integrity and security by implementing access controls, backups, and recovery plans.

Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and patches.

Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolution.

Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database structures and schemas.

Develop and maintain documentation, including database policies, procedures, and standards.

Perform regular audits to identify potential risks or inefficiencies in database systems.

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in database administration.

**Requirements**:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.

Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).

Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.

Knowledge of database security best practices and experience implementing security protocols.

Ability to troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) could be advantageous.
