**Key Responsibilities**
- **Machine Operation**:

- Set up and operate multi-layer extrusion equipment.
- Adjust machine settings such as temperature, speed, and feed rates to ensure consistent product quality.
- Monitor the extrusion process and troubleshoot issues.
- **Material Handling**:

- Prepare and load raw materials such as polymer resins and additives into the extruder.
- Ensure proper material blending for desired layer properties.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect finished films or sheets for defects, including thickness, clarity, and uniformity.
- Conduct tests such as tensile strength, elongation, or permeability to verify quality standards.
- **Maintenance**:

- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of extrusion machines.
- Replace worn-out parts such as dies, screws, or filters.
- Report mechanical or operational issues to the maintenance team.
- **Process Optimization**:

- Fine-tune the extrusion process to achieve optimal production efficiency and minimize waste.
- Implement changes to improve product quality or meet new customer specifications.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain detailed logs of production data, including batch numbers, settings, and output.
- Record and report any deviations from standard operating procedures.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow safety guidelines to prevent workplace hazards.
- Adhere to environmental and regulatory standards for plastic production.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- **Technical Expertise**: Strong understanding of plastic materials and multi-layer extrusion processes.
- **Attention to Detail**: Ability to identify and address quality issues during production.
- **Mechanical Skills**: Knowledge of machine operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy materials.
- **Teamwork and Communication**: Coordinate with other operators, quality control, and maintenance teams.
- **Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in extrusion processes is a plus.
- Experience in a similar role is often required.

This role is critical in ensuring the production of high-quality multi-layer plastic products while maintaining efficiency and safety in the production environment.
