**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Database Administration**:Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL database servers in development, testing, and production environments.
- **Performance Tuning & Optimization**:Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies to optimize performance.
- **Backup & Recovery**:Implement and manage robust backup and disaster recovery solutions, including point-in-time recovery (PITR).
- **High Availability & Replication**:Set up and manage replication, failover, and high-availability solutions such as streaming replication, Patroni, etc.
- **Security & Compliance**:Ensure database security through access controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance with data protection regulations.
- **Monitoring & Alerts**:Implement monitoring tools and alerting mechanisms to proactively manage database health and availability.
- **Upgrades & Patching**:Plan and execute version upgrades, patching, and maintenance with mínimal downtime.
- **Troubleshooting & Support**:Provide expert-level support and troubleshoot database-related issues across environments.
- **Documentation**:Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and policies.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:
**Education**:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

**Experience**:

- 3+ years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration
- Strong hands-on experience with performance tuning, query analysis, and PostgreSQL internals

**Technical Skills**:

- Expertise in PostgreSQL installation, configuration, and upgrade procedures
- Proficiency in implementing replication, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL security, authentication, and access control
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting
- Experience with monitoring tools like pgAdmin, pg_stat_statements, Prometheus + Grafana, etc.

**Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)**:

- Experience with cloud-hosted PostgreSQL (AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible or Terraform
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

**Soft Skills**:

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach to database management

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
