Description :Key Responsibilities :- Manage, configure, and optimize Postgres and Aurora databases on AWS- Implement and monitor database performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning- Handle backup, restore, high availability, and disaster recovery (PITR, replication)- Collaborate with application teams for schema design and query optimization- Ensure database security, user management, and access control policies- Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues efficientlyRequired Skills & Qualifications :- 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL- Strong experience with Aurora PostgreSQL and AWS RDS- Expertise in database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization- Knowledge of backup/restore strategies and replication- Understanding of cloud environments and database monitoring toolsPreferred Skills :- Familiarity with NoSQL databases and data migration strategies- Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)- Exposure to DevOps/CI-CD practices- Knowledge of security best practices in AWS (ref:hirist.tech)
