**Indirect Procurement Buyer**

As an Indirect Procurement Buyer you will focus on Machine & Tooling categories within Indirect Procurement, act as the primary business partner and conduit between the Indirect Procurement Team, local business partners and suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Purchase production equipment’s for electronics Automotive industries in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
- Manage local Indirect service providers, selection of suppliers, their performance and drive productivity initiatives
- Develop structured approach and drive local business focus across Indirect-led activities in pursuit of overarching regional goals ensuring that a clear set of local aligned deliverables is established & implemented, with the necessary rigor/discipline to regularly track performance
- Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact business operations
- Provide analysis of costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities
- Prepare reports and updates as and when required
- Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods
- Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications
- Good working knowledge of procedures: methods and practices mainly related to purchasing

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers
- Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem-solving abilities
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets
- Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system would be beneficial

**Qualifications and Experience Levels**:

- Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred
- Engineering degree, in areas; Mechanical // Electrical/Electronics // Robotics
- More than three years of previous experience of working in a purchasing team preferably within an automotive or manufacturing environment
- Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown
- Computer literate, with advanced skills/abilities
- Fluent English, Indi, Japanese skills required - other languages advantageous
