**Job Purpose**:
To plan and implement process design for new projects in Viscose section. Evaluate alternate technologies, process for improving productivity, optimizing OPEX and CAPEX for new projects.

**Job Context & Major Challenges**:
Job Context:
Viscose staple fibre manufacturing started in our business in 1954 at Nagda. At present we have seven fibre plants with manufacturing capacity of around 2600 TPD. In view of further business expansion by incorporation of latest technologies running in world, a separate central project cell has been established. This Project cell is responsible for project designing with aim to get bench mark fibre quality, environmental protection, optimum capex and opex. There are challenges specific to location. Environmental aspects are common for all sites. Water supply as well as discharge is also great challenge at most of the site. Besides above to get benchmark quality with minimum opex, and installation cost
Major Challenges:
1. To get global bench mark quality of fibre and Salt.
2. To adopt best technology for plant and machineries.
3. To adopt latest process module established globally.
4. To adopt learning from plants and incorporate in process design.
5. Design for lower steam and power consumption.
6. Design for Maximum productivity, minimum losses.
7. Coordination with plant executing team for correct and timely execution of project.
8. To improve subordinate morale and moderate their behaviour to increase their work commitment

- 1. Carry out Engineering of the project with equipment layout for finalization
2. Evaluate latest technologies during engineering
3. Prepare documentation for performance guarantee and scope
with vendors
4. Take up mass and heat balance study of processes for understanding and finding opportunities for improvement in process control, simplification and cost reduction.

- 1. Ensure correct purchase orders are released timely.
2. Interact with the respective counter parts in the running plant and sister units for knowledge sharing and up gradation.
3. Co-ordinate for timely implementation of project as per agreed PIDs and design basis.
4. To work closely with the project team members from Electrical, Instrument, Civil and Mechanical for progress of the projects jobs as per target.
5. To plan and execute pre-commissioning activities in the section for smooth and vertical start-up of the project.

- 1. To implement and execute DuPont safety systems and procedure in the respective section.
2. Identify and report safety observation (unsafe act and unsafe conditions) in the Plant.
3. Prepare and put in place personal safety action plan.
4. Carry out risk assessment of critical activities specially hooking up with existing facilities
5. Prepare SOP for all processes.
6. To carry out and implement HAZOP & JSA for the project.
7. Interact closely with safety team for safety related activities in the respective section

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor Of Engineering

**Minimum Experience Level**:
4-8 Years
