Podcast Producer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Podcast Producer to manage and produce podcasts featuring HODs (Heads of Departments) and Chiefs with prominent guest speakers such as coaches, mentors, and industry experts. This role involves end-to-end production, from planning and coordinating guest appearances to editing and publishing high-quality podcast episodes. The Podcast Specialist will work closely with senior leadership and key guest speakers to deliver content that resonates with our target audience, driving engagement and strengthening our brand’s thought leadership.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Guest Coordination and Engagement**:

- Identify, coordinate, and manage guest speakers for our HOD’s and chiefs (coaches, mentors, industry experts) for podcast appearances.
- Schedule and facilitate interviews with senior leadership, ensuring alignment with the content strategy and brand messaging.
- Maintain strong relationships with external guests, ensuring a smooth and professional experience throughout the podcast process.
- **Podcast Production & Editing**:

- Lead all aspects of podcast production, including recording, editing, and post-production for a polished and professional final product.
- Edit and enhance audio quality, ensuring clarity, seamless transitions, and consistency in all episodes.
- Integrate relevant audio elements such as music, sound effects, and clips to enrich the listening experience.
- **Content Development and Planning**:

- Collaborate with senior leadership HODs and chiefs, and guest speakers to develop compelling topics and themes for each episode.
- Research trends, industry developments, and audience interests to create relevant and engaging content that aligns with our organization’s goals.
- Script and structure episodes, ensuring they flow smoothly while providing valuable insights to the listeners.
- **Brand and Thought Leadership**:

- Highlight the thought leadership of HODs, chiefs and guest experts through in-depth, insightful interviews and discussions.
- Ensure all content reflects the organization’s values and objectives while positioning the guests and leadership team as industry leaders.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that podcast episodes are strategically aligned with broader brand initiatives.
- **Podcast Publishing & Distribution**:

- Publish and distribute podcast episodes across relevant platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, etc.) and ensure accessibility to a wide audience.
- Optimize podcast metadata (titles, descriptions, and episode keywords) for SEO and discoverability.
- Maintain the podcast’s editorial calendar, ensuring timely releases and consistency.
- **Audience Engagement & Growth**:

- Promote podcasts through social media, newsletters, and other marketing channels to drive awareness and engagement.
- Monitor audience feedback, comments, and metrics to understand preferences and tailor future episodes.
- Implement strategies to grow the podcast audience, such as collaborations with influencers, guest appearances, and cross-promotions.
- **Reporting & Analytics**:

- Track podcast performance through analytics tools to assess listener growth, engagement, and content effectiveness.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the impact and success of podcast episodes.
- Use audience data and feedback to continuously refine content and improve overall podcast quality.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in podcast production, content creation, or a similar media role, with a focus on high-profile guests and thought leadership.
- Strong technical skills in podcast editing and production using tools like Adobe Audition, Audacity, or other audio software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with senior leadership and high-level guests.
- Knowledge of podcast distribution platforms (e.g., Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts) and SEO best practices for podcasting.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh, relevant ideas for podcast content.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in audio quality and content accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
