We are hiring a creative Video Journalist cum Producer with core skills in script writing, production and a passion for creative storytelling - someone who lives and breathes digital content.

You will be given the reins to craft both thoughtful long-form and engaging short form content - ranging from explainer, documentary style YouTube videos to detailed interviews/podcasts, branded content, or comprehensive event coverage - to reels, clips and teasers.

The bottom line - tell engaging stories visually.

Your key role will be focused on our ambitious news-driven, explainer videos and business startup documentaries. The job will entail taking a video story from idea to final product including research, script writing, shooting and post-production.

**Job Role & Profile**:

- End to end responsibility for a new explainer format video series IP - pre-production, production and post-production
- Plan and ideate video stories for YouTube - both trending news and evergreen topics
- Craft compelling scripts and develop comprehensive content treatment plans
- Pitch stories, lead planning sessions and manage shoot schedules while coordinating smoothly with stakeholders
- Act as a bridge between creative and technical teams, ensuring alignment on vision and execution - conceptualize visuals, style frames, and branding guidelines
- Creative improvisations to enhance final output
- Coordinate across internal teams to ensure smooth shoots, scheduling, video edits, production assets and design
- Direct video hosts & supervise on ground crew on the use of audio-visual equipment, including cameras, microphones, and lighting
- Develop innovative video treatments & guide editors and motion graphics artists to achieve desired outcomes - select optimal forms of media for projects
- Stay ahead of digital trends and AI tools to enhance content & production quality
- Work closely with video editors on post-production, manage delivery timelines and bandwidth

**Key Requirements & Skillsets**:

- Background in Broadcast Journalism or video storytelling (Masters/ Bachelor’s degree)
- 4-6 years of relevant, hands-on experience in end-to-end video production
- Video Scripting, creative writing skills & storytelling ability
- A passion for news, research and a clear understanding of journalism processes, ethics, editorial standards & methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English is a requirement.
- Understanding of digital platforms and YouTube Algorithm
- Ability to work hard, experience in a deadline-driven, fast paced environment.
- Team player, self-starter, and disciplined worker
