Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement inquiry-based lesson plans that align with the IB Social Studies curriculum, including the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), or Diploma Programme (DP), as applicable.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore complex social studies concepts, develop their own perspectives, and engage in meaningful discussions.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technologies to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Foster students’ development of critical thinking, research, communication, and collaboration skills through authentic learning experiences, including projects, debates, simulations, and fieldwork.
- Integrate global perspectives, current events, and real-world issues into the curriculum to help students make connections between their learning and the world around them.
- Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, including essays, presentations, projects, and exams, and provide timely and constructive feedback to support student growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, share best practices, and promote interdisciplinary connections within the school community.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues about student progress, concerns, and achievements, and provide support and guidance as needed.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with IB standards and practices, social studies content knowledge, and pedagogical techniques.
- Engage in reflective practice to evaluate and refine teaching practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the social studies program.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, History, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Teaching certification or licensure required; IB certification or experience teaching in IB programmes preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in social studies content areas, including history, geography, economics, political science, and/or anthropology.
- Experience teaching social studies at the primary, middle, or secondary level, with a track record of student achievement and success.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning, constructivist pedagogy, and the IB learner profile.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Commitment to promoting international-mindedness, global citizenship, and intercultural understanding in the classroom.
- Ability to integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development as an educator.

Pay: ₹85,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
