Proficient in Auto cad & MS Project and/or Primavera and the MS Office Suite of products

**JOB DECSRIPTION -**

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES**:
**STRATEGIC**:

- The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering joinery & interior fit out development projects of varying size and complexity.

**OPERATIONAL**
- Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements
- Assist the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules Optimizes manpower productivity, equipment, and materials allocation, and ensures no materials are wasted on production.
- Prepare project organization and communication charts.
- Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades
- Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures
- Supervises foreman & supervisor productivity and overall performance
- Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
- Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner
- Coordinating with drafts man for shop drawing and design done as per site actual measurement.
- Coordinate with Site project manager on preparation of all project submittals and drawings.
- Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Assist the Production Manager in the review of supplier / contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval.
- Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database
- Coordinates with the Site Project manager / consultant against any shop drawing clarifications
- Coordinates between factory and site supervisor for material and site installation.
- Inspect the quality of incoming materials and site installation products.
- Reviews the Variation/Change Orders/Time extensions with the Division in-charge to give feedback about the impact on the project.
- Keep the production manager and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations
- Preparer substantial completion certificate and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained.

**PEOPLE MANAGEMENT**
- Assigns tasks and responsibilities to supervisor and foremen as per directions of Division in-charge
- Assists in the training and development of personnel in the Joinery related topics.
- Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others

**AUTHORITY STRUCTURE**
- Determine the project approach, including milestones, deliverables and scope.
- Determine how to allocate/reallocate project resources throughout the project.
- Approval of Monthly Manpower invoices and subcontractor invoices.
- Approval of the subcontractor’s valuation not exceeding the contact budget value that best fit the project objective based on the cost, time and quality.

**OTHER TASKS AS ASSIGNED**

Responsibilities include other duties as assigned, including special tasks involved in responding to an emergency event.

**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:
1. Degree or Diploma in Architectural or civil Engineering or Project/Construction Management

2. Proficient in Auto cad & MS Project and/or Primavera and the MS Office Suite of products

3. Knowledge of the building development/redevelopment industry

4. Familiarity with construction methods and the building codes

5. Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills

6. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment

7. Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities

8. Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills

**_EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS_**_: _**
- Should have expertise/experience in multiple components of organization such as human resources, cost budgeting and project planning, quality matters, materials management, safety and environment issues.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience supporting project / production managers in delivery of joinery and interior fit out projects

**COMPUTER PROFICIENCY**:

- Must have a working knowledge of word processing softwar
