**Job Title**: Lab Technical Assistant - Footwear Industry

**Job Summary**:
The Lab Technical Assistant supports the technical and quality control testing of footwear materials, products, and processes. This role involves ensuring that testing procedures are followed accurately, assisting in the development of new footwear designs and materials, and ensuring products meet safety and performance standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Material Testing**:

- Assist in testing materials (leather, rubber, têxtiles, etc.) used in footwear manufacturing for durability, flexibility, and performance.
- Conduct tests on finished footwear products to evaluate wearability, comfort, and longevity (e.g., slip resistance, water resistance, compression resistance, etc.).
- **Data Collection & Reporting**:

- Record test results and compile reports on the performance of materials and products.
- Analyze data to assist in troubleshooting and improving material quality.
- Maintain detailed logs of testing procedures and outcomes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- **Lab Equipment Maintenance**:

- Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning properly.
- Assist with regular checks and maintenance of equipment to ensure safe and accurate testing.
- **Quality Control Support**:

- Support the implementation of quality control measures throughout the product development cycle.
- Assist in performing quality assurance tests to ensure footwear products meet company standards and client specifications.
- Identify defects or non-conformance issues in products and report findings to senior technical staff.
- **Research & Development Support**:

- Assist in the development of new materials and innovative technologies for footwear manufacturing.
- Help create prototypes and assist with testing new designs to improve product performance.
- **Documentation & Compliance**:

- Ensure that all testing procedures comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements (such as ISO, ASTM).
- Maintain records of all lab activities and test results for internal documentation and audits.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with product designers, engineers, and production teams to address technical challenges and suggest improvements.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to relay findings from tests and experiments.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- A diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as material science, chemistry, têxtiles, engineering, or a related discipline.
- **Experience**:

- Experience in a laboratory environment, ideally in footwear or a related manufacturing industry, is preferred.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing methods for materials and finished products.
- Familiarity with standard footwear industry testing standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
- **Attention to Detail**:

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle precise testing and documentation.
- **Communication Skills**:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to document findings and communicate with various teams.
- **Problem-Solving Ability**:

- Ability to identify issues and provide solutions in the product testing and development processes.

- The job may require working in a lab or manufacturing environment, with occasional exposure to chemicals and machinery.
- The role might involve standing for extended periods, lifting, and carrying materials during testing.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
