**We are looking for Procurement and Logistic Officer**

**You’ll make a difference by**:

- Reliability Analysis: Conducting reliability analysis of systems or products to assess their performance over time. This involves analyzing failure data, calculating mean time between failures (MTBF), and predicting failure rates.
- Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identifying potential suppliers for rolling stock components, spare parts, and maintenance services. Evaluating supplier capabilities, conducting supplier assessments, and negotiating contracts to ensure cost-effective and reliable sourcing.
- Request for Proposal (RFP) and Bid Management: Preparing and issuing RFPs and bid invitations to suppliers, managing the bidding process, and evaluating vendor proposals to select the most suitable suppliers.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiating terms and conditions of contracts with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranty agreements.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain and prompt resolution of any supply-related issues.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensuring that all procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Implementing quality control measures to ensure the supplied goods and services meet required specifications and safety standards.
- Inventory Management: Collaborating with inventory and maintenance teams to ensure an adequate level of spare parts and materials are available for rolling stock maintenance and repairs.
- Cost Control and Budgeting: Monitoring procurement costs and ensuring procurement activities stay within budgetary constraints.
- Tender Evaluation: Participating in the evaluation of tenders and proposals submitted by suppliers to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Supplier Performance Evaluation: Evaluating supplier performance based on criteria like delivery timeliness, product quality, and responsiveness to issues.
- Market Research: Conducting market research to identify new suppliers, technologies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate procurement records and preparing periodic reports on procurement activities, spending, and supplier performance.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks in the procurement process, such as supply chain disruptions or price fluctuations.
- Sustainable Procurement: Promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly procurement practices, such as sourcing from eco-friendly suppliers or considering life-cycle costs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and finance teams to align procurement activities with rolling stock operational and maintenance needs.

**Desired Skills**:

- You should have minimum experience of 10 years of managing Railway Rolling Stock Projects along with bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or field related to electrical engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering/Diploma in Engineering Degree in Electrical/Electronics/
- Mechanical discipline or its equivalent.
- Possesses more than 8-10 years of working experiences in rolling stock and Materials Logistics/Procurement for rolling stock industry.
- Must have competency in Vendor management and Store management.
- Good knowledge of IT systems.
- Excellent communicator, both written and oral.
- People Management experience.
