Logistics Executive

The International and National Logistics Executive is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods both within the country and internationally. The role involves managing supply chain activities such as procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution while complying with all legal regulations related to domestic and global shipping.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Logistics Strategy & Planning**:

- Develop and implement logistics strategies for national and international operations.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., procurement, sales, production) to align logistics efforts with company goals.
- Forecast and manage the logistics budget, including cost-saving initiatives.
- **National and International Shipping**:

- Manage transportation processes for both domestic and international shipments.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, international trade laws, and documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) for international shipments.
- **Vendor and Carrier Management**:

- Negotiate contracts and rates with shipping and logistics providers.
- Evaluate performance of vendors and carriers to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Manage relationships with customs brokers, couriers, and freight forwarding companies.
- **Warehouse and Inventory Management**:

- Oversee warehousing, storage, and inventory management practices.
- Ensure optimal stock levels to meet demand while minimizing excess inventory.
- Coordinate with warehouse managers to streamline operations.
- **Process Improvement**:

- Analyze and improve logistics processes for cost efficiency, speed, and reliability.
- Implement new technologies or systems for better logistics management.
- Monitor and improve KPIs related to on-time deliveries, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure all logistics activities comply with local, national, and international laws (customs, duties, tariffs, etc.).
- Keep up to date with trade regulations, export control laws, and environmental standards.
- **Team Leadership**:

- Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes.
- **Customer Service**:

- Ensure customer needs are met regarding the delivery of products, both in terms of timing and condition.
- Resolve logistics-related customer complaints and implement corrective actions.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or specialized certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, PMP) are a plus.
- **Experience**:

- 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing both national and international logistics operations.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, incoterms, and international trade laws.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

**Work Environment**:

- Office setting with occasional visits to warehouses and distribution centers.
- May require occasional international and domestic travel for vendor meetings, site inspections, or audits.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
