**JOB SUMMARY**:
As a Travel Agent at [Company Name], you will be responsible for assisting clients with booking travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations (hotels), transportation, and activities. Your role will involve providing expert advice on travel destinations, planning tailored itineraries, and managing all aspects of the travel experience. You will work closely with hotels and other travel suppliers to ensure seamless, personalized service and exceptional customer satisfaction.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- **Client Consultation & Trip Planning**:
- Communicate with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, hotels, travel itineraries, and local experiences.
- Recommend suitable hotel accommodations based on client preferences (location, amenities, budget, etc.).
- Plan and create customized travel itineraries, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and activities.
- **Hotel Bookings & Reservations**:
- Research and book hotel accommodations using preferred travel booking platforms or directly with hotels.
- Negotiate rates and secure special offers or promotions with hotels, ensuring competitive pricing for clients.
- Offer upsells such as room upgrades, inclusive packages (breakfast, airport transfers), or additional services (spa, concierge services).
- Confirm hotel reservations and ensure accurate details for clients (dates, location, room type, etc.).
- Coordinate with hotels regarding any special requests (e.g., late check-in, early check-out, special accommodations).
- **Travel Booking Coordination**:
- Handle the booking of all travel-related services (flights, trains, buses, car rentals, tours) for clients.
- Ensure all bookings are processed correctly and follow through with confirmations.
- Assist with group travel, handling multiple bookings for large parties, events, or corporate clients.
- Keep clients informed about any changes in their bookings (flight delays, hotel cancellations, etc.).
- **Customer Service & Support**:
- Provide ongoing support to clients before, during, and after their travels.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and make adjustments to itineraries as necessary.
- Handle travel-related complaints, working to resolve issues quickly and professionally to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Follow up with clients after their trips to collect feedback and ensure overall satisfaction.
- **Sales & Upselling**:
- Promote and sell additional travel products such as travel insurance, excursions, car rentals, and activities.
- Use your knowledge of available hotel promotions, upgrades, and deals to increase revenue and add value to clients' bookings.
- Meet or exceed sales targets for travel packages, hotel bookings, and other travel-related services.
- **Administrative and Record Keeping**:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, travel bookings, payments, and correspondence.
- Prepare and send invoices, receipts, and travel documents (itineraries, hotel confirmations, flight tickets).
- Keep detailed records of bookings, including payment status and client preferences.
- Manage and update client profiles with personal preferences for future travel arrangements.
- **Collaboration with Suppliers & Partners**:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel chains, booking platforms, airlines, and tour operators.
- Regularly check for promotions, deals, and discounts from hotel suppliers to pass on to clients.
- Communicate directly with hotels to resolve booking issues or special requests for clients.
- **Marketing & Promotion**:
- Assist in the development of marketing strategies to promote hotel and travel packages, seasonal promotions, or exclusive deals.
- Stay up-to-date with trends in travel, including the latest hotel offerings and popular travel destinations.
- Attend travel industry events, webinars, and trade shows to network and gain insights into new products and services.
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, business, or related field (preferred).
- **Experience**: Previous experience in travel agency operations or customer service is preferred, particularly in booking hotels, flights, and car rentals.
