This is a remote position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform daily monitoring of enterprise backup environments. Document and resolve incidents related to backup/recovery job failures
- Ability to work from home including facilitating incident calls, monitoring processes, and able to respond to phone calls from remote sites
- Identify root cause analysis and remediate reoccurring backup/recovery issues
- Create and provide reports describing operational performance of backup/recovery environments. Identify appropriate targets as key performance indicators of backup/recovery system health and provide recommendations regarding problem resolution in cases where targets are being approached (best case) or are exceeded (worst case)
- Participate in the building, installation, configuration and testing of servers, storage, and backup infrastructure for new use, upgrades, or lifecycle replacement
- Create and update documentation for backup environments
- Operate as an escalation point on all backup issues
- Provide 24x7 IT operations support on an on-call basis
Comply with and execute change management processes
- Collaborate effectively within systems administrative team and across functional teams to resolve issues, make design changes, and ensure the backup/recovery environment is running effectively.
- Required Knowledge and Experience
- Experience working in large, enterprise environments, including managing backups related to Oracle and SQL Server database technologies
- hands-on experience working with Veeam Backup and Replication, NetBackup, and Azure Backup services
- Knowledge and experience working with tape-based backup hardware
- Knowledge and experience working with Cloud file storage platforms as a backup storage target
- Knowledge and experience working with deduplication storage systems
- Knowledge and experience with SAN Fabric Technologies related to backup infrastructure
- Knowledge and experience in installation and management of backup integration clients
Knowledge and Experience with disaster recovery as it relates to storage systems and data recovery techniques, including disk replication, snapshots and disaster recovery best practices
- Knowledge and Experience Ability writing technical design and build documentation for all aspects of Backup infrastructure
- Experience in system monitoring tools and techniques for supporting Backup operations, alerting, and remediation

- High level of technical expertise to support complex Storage & Backup devices, including SAN, NAS, and Backup solutions across all tiers, under mínimal supervision
- Strong hands-on technical professional with business acumen
- Experience developing backup policy/procedures and best practices standards
