Structured hybrid role:
Introduction:
The role holder will have responsibility for providing support to the Head of Model & Data Governance, in particular to enable ongoing compliance with Market Surveillance Model & Data Governance obligations. The role will also support the Model Owners within the Market Surveillance function, ensuring model governance activities are completed in line with policy requirements (e.g., Model documentation, Annual review submissions), and that Model Governance obtains the information it requires from other teams within Market Surveillance (e.g., Optimisation teams) to fulfil its obligations. For data governance, the role requires compliance with existing obligations and development of further controls to track and monitor data dependencies that are critical for the effective operation of Market Surveillance.

What will you be doing?
- Providing support to both the Head of Model & Data Governance and Model Owners, involving maintenance and delivery of documentation in support of our Model Governance obligations and deadlines.
- Aiding Head of Model & Data Governance and Model Owner preparation for engagements with Model and Governance counterparts.
- Development of knowledge of the model and data controls on which Market Surveillance depends. Identify opportunities for enhancement to be prioritised for development.
- To champion and advance Global Surveillance, and the role it plays in managing Conduct risk.

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Some basic understanding of Market Surveillance risks/typologies, and how they present themselves in the underlying data and transaction flows of the various customer and banking products.
- An understanding of the power of Analytics and controls to monitor model performance and data integrity.
- A basic understanding of appropriate International and National regulatory laws and requirements which govern and inform surveillance activities and our requirements for robust models and data controls.
- Good communication skills with an ability to interact and work with key stakeholders.
- Appropriate university degree
- Be “tech savvy” and interested by the opportunities technology provides for quality, efficiency or accuracy.
- Understand risk management and control functions
- Knowledge and experience of market surveillance platforms (e.g., trade, communications surveillance)
