**Job Title**: CNC Lathe Machine Operator**Department**: Machine Shop / Production**Location**: [Factory Location - e.g., Karan Compound, Shil, Thane]**Reports To**: Production Engineer / Shop Supervisor**Job Summary**:
The CNC Lathe Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, setting, and programming CNC Lathe machines to produce high-quality precision components as per drawing and production requirements. The role demands strong technical knowledge of CNC machine operations, tool setting, offsets, and understanding of FANUC controllers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Operation & Setup**:

- Operate and set up CNC Lathe machines (SUGNIMI, BFW make).
- Load and unload workpieces, fixtures, and tools as per job requirements.
- Prepare and adjust machine tools and offsets to achieve desired accuracy.
- **Programming & Parameter Setting**:

- Create or modify CNC programs using **FANUC controller**.
- Input and edit offsets, tool lengths, and coordinates accurately.
- Ensure optimal machining parameters for efficiency and tool life.
- **Quality Control**:

- Measure finished components using vernier, micrometer, and other precision instruments.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per drawing.
- Maintain first-piece inspection and periodic checks during production.
- **Maintenance & Safety**:

- Conduct daily machine cleaning and minor preventive maintenance.
- Report mechanical or programming issues to the Maintenance or Production Engineer.
- Follow all safety and housekeeping standards within the machine shop.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Record daily production, tool usage, and downtime data.
- Support production planning and material movement activities.
- Coordinate with supervisors for job priorities and production targets.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- **Education**: ITI (Turner / Machinist / CNC Operator) or equivalent technical qualification.
- **Experience**: Minimum **2-5 years** of hands-on experience in CNC Lathe operation.
- **Machine Knowledge**: SUGNIMI, BFW CNC Lathe machines.
- **Controller Knowledge**: FANUC system.
- **Skills Required**:

- Tool setting and offset adjustments.
- Basic CNC programming and editing.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and gauges.
- Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
